Mr. Shepherd and Hogs for Heroes!

We at Lazy Lab Hunting Club are so pleased to announce that our first Hogs for Heroes expedition of CY21 proved to be a blessing for all involved.  Please read the below to learn more about our Hero who was a recipient of the hunt along with his son, Bear. Christian Don Shepherd is a 36-year-old father of five, four sons and one daughter, and has been happily married for fifteen years. Prior to his current service as a security contractor for the Department of Energy, Christian had the honor to serve in the United States Army with the 10th Mountain Division as an Infantryman with Third-Brigade Second-Battalion Eighty-Seventh Infantry Regiment.  Due to injuries sustained from an RPG while deployed to Afghanistan, Christian’s time in the service ended earlier than he had hoped.  In his own words, “I am so very blessed to be here with family and friends. There so many other service members who were hurt worse than me or paid with their last breath. With a great heart and outlook on life, I enjoy every moment I get to spend time with family. My older boys and I enjoy riding dirt bikes together, exploring any wooded area, and finding any excuse to make one another laugh.  With my daughter being younger, and my only daughter, whatever activity she has planned for us I am all in. My beloved wife has been with me every moment of the way. She and I enjoy doing restoration projects together – making something old or broken and providing it with a purpose.” From all of us at Lazy Lab Hunting Club, we thank Christian and his son, Bear, for their service to our nation and to each other.
