The Army vs. Navy football game is one of the most traditional and enduring rivalries in college football. The game has been frequently attended by sitting U.S. presidents and has been nationally televised each year since 1945. Since first meeting on the gridiron on November 29th, 1890, the rivalry between Annapolis and West Point, while friendly, has remained intense. The phrases “Beat Navy!” and “Beat Army!” are ingrained in the respective traditions and have become a symbol of competitiveness, not just in the Army-navy game, but in the service of the country.
On this wet and cloudy day in New Jersey, members of the Lazy Lab Hunting Club traveled from across the United States to host a warm tailgate, meet our nonprofit supporters, and salute the players (both past and present) who have contributed to “America’s Game.” On December 11th, 2021, LLHC Podcast Host, Mr. Matthew Kuchera, sat down with two members of the Navy Football Brotherhood Inc to discuss various aspects of their experiences playing at Navy and how those experiences have helped propel their current careers. Thank you to Mr. Eric Kettani and Mr. Tyler Goble for taking the time out of their busy schedules to speak with us on the show! Also, LLHC would like to say thank you to our sponsors for making the show a huge success as we were able to serve a wonderful experience to many veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families; those being Athletic Brewing Co., Ubora Coffee Roasters, E3 Meat Co, Pendulum Fine Meats & Market, and Allegiance Flag Supply.
